Windows to the Wild Launches New Digital-First Season — Bite-Sized Adventures, Big Stories

Durham, NH (August 13, 2025) — This summer, Windows to the Wild invites audiences to experience New England’s most unique outdoor adventures—one bite-sized story at a time. Starting Wednesday, August 13 at 6 PM, new stories will premiere weekly on YouTube and the PBS App, offering short, inspiring journeys into the wild corners of our region.

From hiking by glowstick at a nature preserve in New Hampshire to skating Vermont’s longest ice loop to stargazing under Maine’s darkest skies, each story blends nature, local culture and human connection in unexpected ways. Loyal broadcast viewers can also look forward to a special magazine-style television series. The half-hour episodes of Windows to the Wild Season 20 will debut on October 9 at 8 PM on NHPBS, blending digital stories with new content in a weekly broadcast experience.

Rowing with Purpose

“Our goal this season is to bring people closer to the outdoors in ways that fit into their lives—whether they have two minutes to watch or a whole evening,” said Willem Lange, Windows to the Wild host. “These are stories about curiosity, care and connection to the outdoors.”
