Bare Feet with Mickela Mallozzi

Mickela ends this Season 8 in Havana, Cuba, dancing her way through every party of the city - from feeling the spirituality of the Orishas to dancing salsa in the streets of Havana to learning and experiencing Cuba's strong and almost forgotten Chinese history.

Mickela's first trip to the island of Taiwan brings her to dance with the country's most prominent dance company in Taipei, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre; to eat in one of Taipei's most famous night markets; to find mindfulness through tea in the Alishan Forest; and to dance with indigenous contemporary dance company, Bulareyaung Dance Company.

Mickela is graciously hosted by the indigenous guardians of the land of Aotearoa (New Zealand), the Maori iwi (tribe) of Ngati Whatua Orakei in Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland).

Mickela continues her adventures in Tamaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand), with the Maori iwi (tribe) of Ngati Whatua Orakei to celebrate Matariki, the Maori New Year.
