AS Phryne becomes more suspicious of the goings-on behind the convent walls, she and Jack realize the threads of this crime lead higher up and closer to home than they ever suspected... The return of Jack's father-in-law - now Chief Commissioner Sanderson - his ex-wife, Rosie and her dashing beau - offers a chilling insight into extent of police corruption in Jack's hometown.
