This new half-hour series for kids aged 4-8 and their families explores weather phenomena and the forces behind them. With a spotlight on investigation, kids and their parents will join the intrepid Hunter Family as they observe, pose questions, and use brain power and scientific tools and technologies to unlock the secrets behind the drama of a tumultuous thunderstorm, investigate the mystery of sailing rocks in the desert, understand where dew comes from, discover why icicles form, or investigate why fog makes things spookier on a Halloween evening. The Hunter family demonstrates that no matter who you are, or where you live, the weather affects us all. Knowing the weather can help us decide whether to wear a jacket when we head outside, bring our umbrella, or put on our boots when its snowing. With their own homemade weathercasts featuring all of the family members, the family shares their discoveries, covering familiar and unusual weather events.
