  • 1936 -Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson, and Christy Mathewson are revealed as the first inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
  • 1963 - NH poet Robert Frost dies in Boston.
  • 1980 - The Rubik's Cube makes its international debut in London.
