(DURHAM, April 11, 2015 ) - In this week's GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE match, Concord High School narrowly defeated Merrimack High School by a score of 240 to 220. Merrimack took an early lead, but Concord stayed close and in the final half stole the lead and took the win.The Merrimack Tomahawks were represented by captain Dan Mulligan, James Jolly, Bailey Joseph, and Jack Landry, and were coached by Sara Campbell. The Concord Crimson Tide was represented by captain Marissa Splendore, Azwad Iqbal, Eliot Sands, and Joe Ossoff, and were coached by Helen Dugan and Chad Fleming.

semi-finals of GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE. The popular quiz contest began the season with
16 Granite State high school teams battling toward the coveted SUPERCHALLENGE title. Also, for a third year, there will be a Granite State vs. Bay State Governor's Cup match between the winners of the GRANITE STATE SUPERCHALLENGE and the WGBH Boston High School Quiz Show. Stay tuned for next week's match on Saturday, April 18 at 6 p.m., when the defending champions of Pinkerton Academy go up against Nashua High School South.New Hampshire's top high school academic teams demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts as they play GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts and fine arts facts – along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New England.
