(DURHAM, April 30, 2008) - Winnacunnet Regional High School made it to the finals of Granite State Challenge for the third time following their victory over Monadnock Regional High School last night. Winnacunnet defeated Monadnock by a score of 315 to 225. Granite State Challenge airs Wednesdays @ 7:30 p.m., and re-airs Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. on NHPTV. Seniors Jessica Noone and Gabbie Burns, juniors Casey Bradshaw and Craig Hartenstein, and alternates Pat Sullivan and Laurel Weatherby comprised the winning Winnacunnet Warriors team, which was coached by Kevin Fleming and Andy Gushee. The opposing team, the Monadnock Huskies, included seniors James Toye, Tom Nason, Zack Giroux, junior Sarah Dick, and alternates Steve Nikiforakis and Brian Murphy. They were coached by Bill Quintilio. Winnacunnet Regional High School will face either John Stark Regional High School or Oyster River High School in the Granite State SuperChallenge on 5/29 @ 8 p.m. Granite State Challenge returns in two weeks!
