Nashua North Battles Oyster River in the Next Game of Granite State Challenge

Nashua North Meets Oyster River

Durham, NH (March 23, 2026) - The Nashua North Titans take on the Oyster River Wildcats in game seven of GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE on Thursday, March 26th at 8:30 p.m. on New Hampshire PBS.

The Nashua North Titans are captained by 12th-grader Colin Scribner and include 12th-graders Ryan Mamos, Daniel Morcos and Ethan Hobbs. Supporting the lineup are alternates 11th-grader Marie Nalen and 12th-grader Benjamin Kelly. Coached by Timothy Bosch, the Titans represent a school of 1,650 students in Hillsborough County, serving the city of Nashua.

Nashua North team captain Colin Scribner said this about his team’s greatest strength, “Definitely our chemistry, because we know that even before the match or during the match, we can still talk to each other and just have fun together. And that makes it a lot easier to get answers out.”

The Nashua North team has a different way of choosing who is on the team. “I purposely do not pick and choose who is on the team, I have two of my students do it,” said coach Timothy Bosch. “I encourage them to find other people who will complement their own abilities and build out the best, strongest team.”

The Oyster River Bobcats are led by captain 12th-grader Benjamin Boodey and include 11th-grader Lydia Bens along with 12th-graders Griffin Oake-Libow and Rayan Barakat. Supporting the team are alternates 9th-grader Peter Fenton and 12th-graders Carson Imperio and Felix Scarlat. The Bobcats are coached by English teacher John Monahan and represent a school of 840 students in Strafford County, serving the communities of Durham, Lee, Madbury and Barrington. The Oyster River program took home the championship title in 1999 and 2001.

Oyster River team captain Benjamin Boodey said his team is eager for the opportunity ahead. “We're really quite excited because it’s our first time doing the show for at least half of our team,” said Benjamin. “I think we are very close as a team, and we’re very good at knowing what each other’s strengths are.”

When asked what impressed Oyster River coach John Monahan about his team this year, he said, “I’ve got some fast people, and they’re all into expanding themselves, and that’s the most I can ask.”

Hosted by Bow High School teacher and former GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE coach (Bedford High), contestant (Belmont High), and GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE crew member, Jon Cannon, GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE features some of New Hampshire's brightest high school students as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking, and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show.
