  • 1936 -Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson, and Christy Mathewson are revealed as the first inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
  • 1963 - NH poet Robert Frost dies in Boston.
  • 1980 - The Rubik's Cube makes its international debut in London.

  • Granite State Challenge premiered on January 30, 1984.
  • 21 NH high schools have taken home the GSC Championship Trophy.
  • Londonderry High School took the first championship title.
  • Merrimack High School took the 2024 title.
  • Over 6,700 students have participated in GSC.
