Engaging Minds | Connecting Communities | Celebrating New Hampshire

(DURHAM, March 16, 2004) – Beth Carroll, a broadcast journalist with more than 20 years experience in New England, has been named host of NH Outlook, New Hampshire Public Television’s award-winning nightly magazine. Carroll has been serving as a guest host for Outlook since the fall. She has been an anchor, reporter and executive producer for television stations in Springfield, MA, and Hartford, CT for the past 20 years. “We’re delighted that Beth Carroll has joined the NH Outlook team. She will play a key role in the production of our flagship program,” noted Peter Frid, NHPTV General Manager and CEO. “Beth’s experience in news gathering and interviewing will enhance the content of the magazine substantially.” “With Beth now on the Outlook team, we’re exploring exciting new ways to report and present stories for our viewers,” said Dawn DeAngelis, executive producer of NH Outlook. NH Outlook recently won three bronze Telly awards for excellence in non-network television programming in the areas of information, culture and news. It is dedicated to in-depth discussion and analysis of current events, as well as statewide coverage of the people, places, politics, communities and culture that make the Granite State special. NH Outlook airs weeknights at 10 p.m., and again at 1 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Beyond its award-winning local and national television programs, NHPTV is a leader in education and community outreach. NHPTV provides instructional services for 220,000 students from kindergarten through high school; offers Ready To Learn programs and services for children preschool to age 8, parents, and early education professionals; and provides professional development programs and advanced technology training for educators in New Hampshire and neighboring states.
