Rocky top refers to a place in Tennessee that is rocky and tough to plant. Yet it's fertile ground for great storytelling. Morris Irby becomes the first Black baseball player at Tennessee Tech University and learns the cost of being a trailblazer; Harrison Young follows in his father's footsteps, making beating carnival games his mission; and Sandy Lewis finds out about the pecking order at her grandma's house.
