Minnesota Orchestra's South Africa tour honors the centenary year of Nelson Mandela's birth. Music Director Osmo Vanskä leads performances in Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Johannesburg and Soweto, the township at the center of the anti-apartheid movement. Musicians visit schools, teach, rehearse side-by-side and collaborate with South Africans in this historic musical and cultural exchange.
