About Indian As Apple Pie:

In the new series INDIAN AS APPLE PIE, host Anupy Singla takes viewers on a culinary journey of Indian cuisine by visiting fresh markets across the United States and cooking popular recipes in her Chicago-based kitchen.

Each episode highlights how viewers can best integrate unfamiliar ingredients and techniques into their weekly meals.

Throughout the series, Anupy shops for the perfect chapati flour, basmati rice, legumes and lentils.

She also visits an Indian restaurant to witness how naan is made in a traditional tandoori oven and charred to perfection.

The program offers the next generation of Indian home cooks in America guidance on sourcing Indian ingredients and preparing authentic dishes in their own kitchens and beyond.
