Plymouth defeated Prospect Mountain High and Trinity bested Souhegan High on their way to the quarterfinal round. Plymouth Regional High School is a three-time Granite State Challenge champion. It enrolls 674 students from Plymouth, Ashland, Holderness, Campton, Rumney, Wentworth, Warren, Ellsworth, Waterville Valley, and Thornton. Trinity High, a parochial school in Manchester, made it to the final championship game in 2001 and 2004.
