Londonderry Meets Manchester Central

Granite State Challenge - Quarterfinals

(DURHAM, April 20, 2022) - Tune in on Saturday, April 23 at 6 pm on NHPBS for the fourth game in the quarterfinal round in the 40th season of Granite State Challenge between Londonderry and Manchester Central

Playing for Londonderry are captain and senior Austin Kilgore, and sophomores Nathan Ferrick, Brendon Saranich, and Xander Cogan. The team is coached by Peter Willis. Londonderry High enrolls 1,521 students.

Playing for Manchester Central are captain and senior Kellan Barbee, sophomore Akshay Manchanda, junior Tess Beckman, and senior Dante Parsons. They are joined by alternates junior Tyler Cotton and freshman Nick Barbee. The is coached by Ed Doyle. Manchester Central, the oldest public high school in New Hampshire, enrolls 1,532 students from Candia, Hooksett, and Manchester.

The winner of the match will face Portsmouth High in the semifinal round.

Granite State Challenge features New Hampshire's top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking, and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts - along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire.
