Windows to the Wild Launches New Digital-First Season

Durham, NH (August 25, 2026) — WINDOWS TO THE WILD is back with an all-new 21^st season with host Willem Lange. The season kicks off with digital-first outdoor adventure stories designed to watch at home and on the go. Viewers can watch on the NHPBS YouTube channel and the PBS App beginning Thursday, August 27^th.

WINDOWS TO THE WILD is launching the new season with a story featuring one of New Hampshire’s best-known radio hosts, Greg Kretschmar. “Greg’s story is incredibly powerful. When his daughter’s health was in jeopardy, he shared how he found comfort in nature and photography,” said Executive Producer Phil Vaughn. “The outdoors really can be an outlet that helps people through difficult times.”

The digital season of WINDOWS TO THE WILD continues as Willem takes viewers across New England to meet fascinating people and to explore the places that connect us to the outdoors. Join the crew as they catch up with a woman from Bethlehem, New Hampshire who rowed solo across the Atlantic Ocean, visit a group of men who walk and talk every week in Exeter, meet a master falconer in Temple and make some maple syrup with a family in the northern Maine woods.

“There’s nothing better than being outdoors and meeting up with people who enjoy nature as much as I do,” said Lange. “I’ll tell you, the folks we met along the trails this season, they have some pretty good stories to share.”

Complete half-hour WINDOWS TO THE WILD episodes will launch on October 1^st on the PBS App for NHPBS Passport members. The broadcast premiere is October 15^th at 8 PM on New Hampshire PBS.
