Tilton School takes on Trinity High in the First Semifinal Match on Granite State Challenge

Durham, NH (April 28, 2025) – The Tilton School takes on Trinity High in the first semifinal game on Granite State Challenge. Viewers can watch the match on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 8:30 p.m. on New Hampshire PBS.

Playing for the Trinity Pioneers are 12th grader and captain Desmond Lee, 12th grader Tyler Welch and 11th graders Long Nguyen and Teagan Hilliard. 12th grade alternate Madeleine Souza rounds out the team.

“We are a good team,” said Trinity’s Tyler Welch. “I think that if we keep our heads on straight, focus on what we're doing now instead of the later victories, then we can actually do this.”

Social studies teacher Andrew Lavoie and math teacher Louis Siever coach the Pioneers. Trinity enrolls 300 students and serves Manchester, Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett and surrounding towns.

The Tilton Rams team roster includes 12th grader captain Lex Condodemetraky, 11th graders Niko Condodemetraky and Jamie Scott and 12th grader Sebastian DeVeaux, with 11th grader Turner Bottomley and 10th grader Nathaniel Colon as alternates.

“Just being able to go out there with confidence and being able to rely on your teammates is huge,” said  Tilton’s Sebastian DeVeaux. “I think that helps grow our confidence and helps us play our best.”

The Rams are coached by Spanish teacher Keelan Mackenzie and social media and content specialist Lauren Robinson. Tilton School, a private boarding school in Tilton, enrolls 220 students.

Tilton’s coach Keelan Mackenzie tried to boost the team’s confidence on the ride to Durham. “I just reminded them, it's just another game. Even though it's the semifinals, we're still here to have fun.”
