Durham, NH (Sept 17,2024) - Right before the general election on November 5, 2024, students across New Hampshire will be voting for president, governor and for congressional candidates in District One and District Two in the NHPBS Student Mock Election from October 28-31, 2024.
The NHPBS Student Mock Election gives New Hampshire students in grades K-12 the opportunity to participate in the electoral process by researching and then voting for candidates and is a great way to engage young people in the electoral process and encourage civic engagement.
NHPBS has hosted student Mock Elections for general and mid-term elections since 1996 and primary mock elections since 2000. New Hampshire students have correctly predicted the presidential winner in every election, except for the 2000 election, when they narrowly chose Al Gore over George W. Bush.
Registration - Every Vote Counts!
SAUs, districts, schools, classes, groups, and homeschools can all register to vote. Groups can include after-school programs, libraries, Boy Scout troops, Girl Scout troops, Boys and Girls Club groups, and other organizations that work with young people. Registration information and more resources can be found at nhpbs.org/mockelection.
