Academy for Science and Design Meets Plymouth Regional High

Granite State Challenge - Round One

(DURHAM, February 8, 2022)  - Tune in on Saturday, February 12 at 6 pm on NHPBS for the second match in a brand-new season of Granite State Challenge. 

The second game of the season features the Academy for Science and Design and Plymouth Regional High. Playing for the Academy for Science and Design are Captain and junior Shikhar G., junior Sedi G.,  junior Arvin C., and junior Shreenath M. The team alternate is junior Ryan  The team is coached by Shawn Kraus. The Academy for Science and Design is a charter school and is located in Nashua.

Playing for Plymouth Regional High are Captain and senior Katherine Luehrs, sophomore Khalil Dahklia, junior Natalie Boyer, and junior Trevor Tobine. The team alternate is junior Jason Vuong,  Plymouth is coached by Jay Fogarty and Troy Harris. Plymouth Regional High enrolls 674  students from Plymouth, Ashland, Holderness, Campton, Rumney, Wentworth, Warren, Ellsworth, Waterville Valley, and Thornton.

Granite State Challenge features New Hampshire's top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking, and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts - along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire.
