Jennifer Armstrong was born in Waltham, Massachusetts and grew up in South Salem, New York. She graduated from Smith College in North Hampton, Massachusetts. She writes fiction and nonfiction books for children and young adults. Her titles include:The American Story: 100 True Tales from American History, Once Upon a Banana, Chin Yu Min and the Ginger Cat, Audubon: Painter of Birds in the Wild Frontier, and Steal Away.
