John Stark Regional High School Defeats Kingswood Regional High School in Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, January 3, 2008) - John Stark Regional High School claimed a narrow victory over Kingswood Regional High School by a score of 210 to 205 in last night's Granite State Challenge match. This win advances John Stark to round two of New Hampshire Public Television's Granite State Challenge. The series airs Wednesdays @ 7:30 p.m., and re-airs Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. on NHPTV. The triumphant John Stark Generals team was comprised of seniors Mariah Brennan Clegg, Jon Richardson, Richard Berthiaume, and Ben Mueser, alternates Joseph Plunkett and Emily Petersen, and coaches Jill Pinard and Dan Marcus. The Kingswood Knights included seniors Scott Campbell, Sarah Jamieson, Daniel Healy, and Jill Piekut, and alternates Caryn Lamy and Victoria Laine. Host Jim Jeannotte asks the Challenge questions to the teams; co-host Tim Estiloz interviews team members prior to the game.
