Andover High Defeats Salem High

High School Quiz Show Invitational

(DURHAM, May 26, 2018) – New Hampshire's Salem High, the 2018 GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE Champions, lost to Andover High, winner of WGBH's High School Quiz Show in the first annual High School Quiz Show Invitational championship.

New Hampshire defeated Bangor High, the winner of High School Quiz Show: Maine, and Andover High defeated Barrington High, the winner of High School Quiz Show: Rhode Island to make it to the final game. 

Playing for Salem High were captain Tony Consentino, Aidan Gallo, Jonathan Tarness, and Ricky Jeffreys, with alternates Alexis Ahern and Oba Oseghali. The Blue Devils were coached by Bernie Campbell.

Salem had a great run leading up to the Invitational. They defeated Milford High, Hanover High, Merrimack High, and Plymouth Regional High to take the 2018 GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE title.
