Belmont High School Advances to Round Two on Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, September 30, 2010) – Aided by knowledge of Robert Frost, anatomy and Persia, Belmont High School defeated Berlin High School by a score of 230 to 80 last night on Granite State Challenge. The Belmont team advances to round two. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online. The prevailing Belmont Red Raiders included seniors Peter Chynoweth, Courtney Clary and juniors Adlai Gordon, Holly Julian and Kathy Lipshultz. They were coached by Kevin Charleston. Their opponents, the Berlin Mountaineers, included seniors Zack Donaldson, Kyle St. Hillaire, Hunter Payuer and Samantha Kilbride, junior Shamus Wheeler and sophomore Kathryn Record. They were coached by Alan Woodward and Kieran Finnigan-Allen.
