Bishop Brady High School Advances to Semi-finals of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, March 31, 2011) – Bishop Brady High School snagged the last semi-final spot on last night's Granite State Challenge, defeating St. Thomas Aquinas High School 360 to 185. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online. The victorious Bishop Brady Giants included seniors Nick Amadeo, James Kiefner, Zach Higham, Connor Houghton, Tom Arena, and junior Anupa Murali. They were coached by Eric M. Dyment and Jim Miller. Their opponents, the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints, included seniors Matt Devine, Mike Fort, Catherine McAfee, Anna Whitham, junior Tim Bouffard and sophomore Alison Hiatt. They were coached by Charles Prince. Bishop Brady High School will face Nashua High School South in the second semi-final match on April 13th at 6 p.m. TUNE IN WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6 @ 6 p.m. CON-VAL REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL vs. PORTSMOUTH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY Tune in each Wednesday night @ 6 p.m. and follow your favorite teams' progress. The popular quiz contest begins with 32 Granite State high school teams battling toward the coveted SuperChallenge title. There are four single-elimination rounds leading to the final contest in April. Granite State Challenge brings New Hampshire's top high school academic teams head-to-head in spirited competition. Long-time host Jim Jeannotte asks the Challenge questions to the teams; co-host Lori Warriner interviews team members prior to the game.
