Bedford HS Advances to Quarterfinals of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, February 10, 2011) – It was a big win for Bedford High School last night, as they defeated Stevens High School 360 to 195 in a round two Granite State Challenge match. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online. The triumphant Bedford Bulldogs included seniors Camden Bisson and Jordan Dempsey, and juniors Milan Sandhu, Zach Collins, Liam Synan and Kegan Leberman. They were coached by Jon Cannon and Robert Zeller. Their opponents, the Stevens Cardinals, included seniors Asa Barre, Tyler Dillehay, Liz Kern, Beth Klebes, Josh Sturtevant and junior Catherine Gessner. They were coached by Gary Cullison and Karen Cullison. Bedford High School will face the winner of next week's match in the quarterfinals. There are four single-elimination rounds leading to the final contest in April. Long-time host Jim Jeannotte asks the Challenge questions to the teams; co-host Lori Warriner interviews team members prior to the game.
