Confronting Climate Change: What's Needed, What's Feasible, What's Achievable?
the whole truth with david eisenhower

The Earth is warming. The climate is changing. In the wake of the growth of human population and human economic development, carbon levels in the atmosphere, with its greenhouse effects, have risen to a level not believed to have existed for perhaps three million years. Scenarios about what all this will mean for humanity for the rest of the 21st Century vary, but the range of predictions go from merely bad, to terribly worse. What should be done? What's needed? What's feasible? What's achievable? Guests: Fred Krupp, President, Environmental Defense Fund; Michael Mann, Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science & Director of the Earth System Science Center, Penn State University; co-author of "The Madhouse Effect"; Ted Halstead, Chairman & CEO, Climate Leadership Council; Joe Rie, Founding Member, Stable Climate Group.

About The Whole Truth with David Eisenhower:

THE WHOLE TRUTH is neither a traditional one-on-one interview show nor a conventional round-table program.

It's a six-part series that aims to uncover the reality behind today's toughest issues, leaving the partisan noise-making out of the equation.

Hosted by David Eisenhower - noted historian and author, professor at the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania, and grandson and namesake of President Dwight D.

Eisenhower - the series tackles some of the weightiest public affairs topics of our time, with a focus that's global and long-term in scope.

Eisenhower's approach to political debate is rigorous, intense and insightful.

Each half-hour episode features a different panel of guests presenting varying points of view to help viewers understand all sides of the issue.

The format of the show is a three-step that includes an introduction to the topic or "the case," cross-examination and oral arguments, and a summary of "the whole truth."
