The American Buffalo: A Story of Resilience is a companion discussion program to Ken Burns' two-part, four-hour series The American Buffalo. Judy Woodruff moderates this one-hour conversation with the filmmaker (Ken Burns) and three experts (Jason Baldes, Rosalyn LaPier, and Dan Flores), exploring lessons from the film, the early history and special relationship between native American people and the buffalo, its relation to the larger grassland and prairie ecosystems, and Tribal contributions to restoration of the buffalo today. The program is introduced by Georgetown University President John DeGioia as part of their Ken Burns Civic Dialogue initiative.
