Story of Us: A PBS American Portrait Story

This year, PBS asked people across the country to share short stories about their lives in order to inspire a nationwide conversation about what it really means to be American today. Thousands of people have contributed stories to the project, and this half-hour special curates hundreds of them into one extraordinary short documentary. Produced in an innovative flexible format, many PBS member stations are customizing sections of it to amplify stories from their regions and show what they have in common with others across America.
