Episode 3
our house

Fi, left devastated by the realisation that she has lost the house, realises that she needs to track down Bram herself. She follows the money trail and goes to a solicitor who she hopes can provide her with some answers. We flashback to Bram attempting to escape the blackmail situation he has found himself in with Mike and Wendy. However, he has underestimated them both and, after they make it clear they have him backed into a corner, he realises he is going to have to go along with their plan to sell the house. He sets about putting the plan in motion whilst Fi goes away with her close group of friends, including Merle. On the trip, the two women, during an honest and painful conversation, take the first steps towards mending their relationship. As the house sale approaches, Bram, Fi and the boys share an idyllic family Christmas together. Fi and Bram, swept along by this snapshot of how their life could have been, share a passionate night together. Bram hopes this is the start of a new future for his family but Fi disagrees. She feels the relationship and the trust between them is broken beyond repair and is determined to move on. Bram is heartbroken but his angst turns to horror when he discovers that Fi's new boyfriend, Toby, and his blackmailer, Mike, are actually the same person. Back in the present, when Fi's investigations leave her empty handed, she turns to Toby for help. But it is clear that Toby has his own reasons for wanting to get hold of Bram and, unbeknownst to Fi, she is putting her hopes, and her safety, in the hands of a ruthless and dangerous man.
