Jared hits the streets of Boston to profile Detroit Red, a world-premiere ArtsEmerson production from playwright Will Power about the early days of Malcolm X, who was known as Detroit Red during his time in Boston in the 1940s. Then, Jared sits down with iconic stage and screen actors Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker to discuss the pre-Broadway run of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite at the Emerson Colonial Theatre. The show, which brings Broderick and Parker together on stage for the first time in more than 20 years, is directed by Tony Award-winner John Benjamin Hickey. Plus, the Dance Theater of Harlem celebrates their 50th year of innovative ballet, presenting performances that acknowledge their storied history while also focusing on the present and future.
