The Danube River flows through nine countries and is one of the great rivers of Europe. In this program, Burt Wolf guides us along the Danube. First stop is Nuremberg, where we take a look at the works of Albrecht Durer, a master artist of the 14th century. We also visit Regensburg, its castle and its 1,000-year-old bridge. Then through the Danube Gorge, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe. There's a visit to Salzburg with a walk through the streets where Mozart lived, a tour of the ancient Melk Abbey, and a demonstration of the Abbey's reusable coffin. Next stop is Vienna and a guided tour of the Hapsburg Palace. The program ends with a visit to Budapest.
