Wedding bells chime and animal ailments abound in Season 3 of this charming MASTERPIECE series. The season begins in spring 1939 as James and Helen prepare to walk down the aisle. Will their wedding go off without a hitch? Having passed his exams at long last, Tristan must now face the world as a qualified vet. Will he rise to the occasion? And the wonderfully eccentric Mrs. Pumphrey returns with her pampered Pekingese. In the finale, war with Germany comes in September 1939 and everyone faces decisions small and large. Romance beckons for Tristan and Mrs. Hall and tuberculosis plagues the cattle on Helen's farm.
