Blind Adventures with Ron Walsh & Friends

Ron Walsh, a completely blind wilderness adventurer, leads a team co-hosted by international travel writer, guide and blogger Ashlyn George, into the jaws of adventure. Ron Walsh battles through bear country, overnights in winter camping at -8 F on a 32-mile cross-country ski journey. He dogsleds, snowshoes, canoes and hikes into historic and isolated destinations.

Sun, Aug 2	9:00 A.M.	Pursuit of Peace NHPBS (11.1) Ron embarks on an adventure to reach a sailboat using a military landing craft in a race against a violent prairie storm with Ashlyn George in Lake Diefenbaker, Saskatchewan.
Sun, Aug 23	9:00 A.M.	Through Bear Country NHPBS (11.1) Ron and Ashlyn push through bear country in the boreal forest on a 100 year old railway track to reach a breathtaking basecamp on Kingsmere Lake in Prince Albert National Park which is one of Canada's historic National Parks.
Sun, Aug 30	9:00 A.M.	Through The Darkness NHPBS (11.1) Ron takes up the challenge to reach Grey Owl's cabin in the Canadian Boreal forest in Prince Albert National Park on a 20K hike through bear country, obstacles as darkness falls on the trail bringing his long time guide Ashlyn George into the world of the visually impaired.
