Dover High School Defeats Manchester West High School in Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, January 17, 2008) - Dover High School triumphed over past SuperChallenge winner Manchester West High School by a score of 205 to 195, advancing them to round two of New Hampshire Public Television's Granite State Challenge. The series airs Wednesdays @ 7:30 p.m., and re-airs Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. on NHPTV. The victorious Dover Green Wave team was comprised of seniors Andrew Kageleiry, Alex Carlton, Jimmy Haight, sophomore Ben Wallis, alternates Brittany LaFleur and Andrew Stewart, and coaches Bruce McAdam and Sam Little. The Manchester West Blue Knights included senior Michael Hersher, juniors Ben Blatt and Kevin Walch, sophomore Nick Amadeo and alternate Chelsea Cahill; they were coached by Mary-Ellen Russell and Robert Reisman.Dover High School faces Mascoma Valley Regional High School later this winter in round two of Granite State Challenge. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Round Two of Granite State Challenge begins Wednesday, 1/23Tune in @ 7:30 p.m. to watch Campbell High School vs.Gilford High School--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tune in each Wednesday night @ 7:30 p.m. to follow your favorite teams and track their progress.
