(DURHAM, July 7, 2004) - A unique science curriculum will be presented to teachers on Thursday, July 22 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at New Hampshire Public Television's Broadcast Center in Durham. A Seacoast Science Center wetlands specialist will discuss the center's wetland and marsh curriculum for teachers. This workshop for the 2004-05 JASON Expedition "Disappearing Wetlands" will include curriculum delivery and training; registration for Team JASON online; a shared inquiry session; and other resources. The expedition itself will be broadcast on NHPTV in early 2005 as part of a multi-media instruction for teachers and students.The JASON Project is a multi-disciplinary program that sparks the imagination of students and enhances the classroom experience. It aims to inspire in students a lifelong passion to pursue learning in science, math, and technology through exploration and discovery. From oceans to rainforests, from polar regions to volcanoes, the JASON Project exposes students and educators to leading scientists who work with them to examine Earth's biological and geological development.
