NHPTV Receives 4 First Place NHAB Golden Mic Awards

DURHAM, November 4, 2004) — New Hampshire Public Television received four first place awards during the recent New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters’ (NHAB) annual Golden Mike Awards ceremony in Concord. NH Outlook, NHPTV’s nightly newsmagazine, took home the Public Affairs Show first place award for its program about Alzheimer's disease. NH Outlook also won the Television Talk Show award for its Friday roundtable with state journalists.Wildlife Journal won best Feature Story for its “Reaching the Summit” segment about persons with disabilities climbing Mt. Lafayette. And New Hampshire Public Television’s coverage of UNH Wildcat Men’s Hockey won for best Sports Play-by-Play. NHPTV was also named the Station of the Year merit winner.Established in 1954, the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters is a voluntary, statewide trade organization serving 98 percent of the Granite State's over-the-air radio and television stations.NH Outlook covers the people, places, politics, communities and culture that make the Granite State special.
