Larry Pitsch Named Chair of NHPTV's Board of Governors

(DURHAM, July 6, 2005) – Larry Pitsch of Bedford has been named chair of New Hampshire Public Television’s Board of Governors for 2005-06. Outgoing Chair Nury Márquez welcomed Pitsch and honored departing Board member William Sturtevant at the Board’s June meeting at the NHPTV Broadcast Center in Durham. Pitsch is the president and owner of Crathern Machinery Group, Inc., and Márquez is Community Relations Manager for Public Service Company of NH.“It’s a privilege to be able to serve NHPTV as it carries out an important mission to our state and the region,” Pitsch said. “The commitment of our Board members and staff to the success of NHPTV is impressive. I look forward to assisting NHPTV garner support for its programs and services throughout our Northern New England broadcast area.”Alice Pearce, executive director of Ski NH, is the Board’s new vice chair. And David Sundman, president of Littleton Coin Co., will serve as the Board’s new secretary.Márquez, who will continue to serve on the Board, thanked her colleagues and the NHPTV staff for their support. “NHPTV continues to renew my belief that we can and do provide excellent educational and cultural programs and services,” she said.William Sturtevant was recognized for 10 years of service on the NHPTV Board of Governors.
