NHPTV Knowledge Network Offers Educators Back-to-School Bash

(DURHAM, July 18, 2005) – Teachers interested in learning about new Instructional Television programs, upcoming PBS programs, new technology options, and professional development opportunities are invited to attend the NHPTV Knowledge Network Annual Back-to-School Bash at Plymouth State University on Thursday, August 11 at 10 a.m. A networking social will be held after the workshop from 4 - 6 p.m.Attendees will spend the day with NHPTV Knowledge Network staff, learning about resources and projects available to educators during the 2004-2005 school year. There will also be sessions provided by PSU on online learning, and professional development opportunities in the North Country. There is no charge for the workshop, but space is limited. Attendees are eligible for six hours of Professional Development credit. At the NHPTV Knowledge Network Back-to-School Bash, educators will be able to:• See clips of new Instructional Television series.• Learn about a wide variety of professional development opportunities. • Explore The JASON Expedition: Mysteries of Earth and Mars, an exciting multidisciplinary curricula.• Find out about educational outreach events and projects. • Share ideas with colleagues from across New Hampshire.• Receive six hours of Professional Development credit.
