It's A Different Challenge Every Week

(DURHAM, September 27, 2006) — What is the largest division of the geologic time scale? If you said "Era," then you’re warming up to play Granite State Challenge! Get ready to cheer on your favorite high school academic teams when New Hampshire Public Television’s Granite State Challenge begins its new season Thursday @ 7:30 p.m. In Round One, Hollis/Brookline High School takes on Plymouth Regional High School for bragging rights and the opportunity to move on to the next round of competition.Now in its 24th year, Granite State Challenge brings New Hampshire’s top high school academic teams head-to-head in lively competition. The game emphasizes quick recall of factual material in all major disciplines – math, science, social studies, language arts and fine arts – along with a mix of questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire topics. Host Jim Jeannotte asks the Challenge questions to the teams; co-host Tim Estiloz interviews team members prior to the game. The following teams will be competing this season:
