(DURHAM, March 2, 2007) — Moultonborough Academy defeated The Sant Bani School last night in a lively Round Two match-up of Granite State Challenge. Moultonborough pulled ahead early in the game and easily topped Sant Bani by a score of 240 to 85. New Hampshire Public Television's Granite State Challenge airs Thursdays @ 7:30 p.m., and again on Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. The victorious Moultonborough Panthers included seniors Casey Weeks and Ty Watson, and juniors Andrew Bryar and Matt Smith. They were coached by Sally Sibulkin and Andrew Coppinger. The Sant Bani Swans included seniors Laura Anderson, Myles Duncanson, and Kai Demello-Folsom, and junior Sam Gonzalez. They were coached by Jonathan Powell.Moultonborough Academy will meet Londonderry High School in the quarterfinals on Thursday, April 19 @ 7:30 p.m. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Granite State Challenge returns in three weeks.Tune in Thurs., 3/22 @ 7:30 p.m. to watch Hanover High School vs. Bishop Guertin High School--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Thirty-two Granite State high school teams began battling toward the coveted SuperChallenge title in September. There are four single-elimination rounds leading to the final contest in May.
