NHPTV Programs Receive Top Honors from Associated Press Broadcasters Competition

(DURHAM, April 17, 2008) – New Hampshire Public Television earned two first place awards and an honorable mention recently at the state’s annual Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards ceremony. The station garnered recognition in the following categories:• First Place – Feature Videography:Autumn's Passage – The glory of fall in New Hampshire—from the ripe, heady days of harvest to the arrival of the first frost—is captured in images and highlighted with music, prose and poetry in this special NHPTV presentation. (Steve Giordani, videographer) • First Place – Sports Play by Play: UNH Hockey – a composite of games broadcast in 2007. (Dan Parkhurst, play-by-play; Bob Norton, color analyst; Mike Machnik, color analyst; Scott Jones, director; Linda Howe, producer)• Honorable Mention – Public Affairs Talk Show: NH Outlook: The Primary Question – Political reporter and guest host James Pindell asks some of the key players in the presidential primary race, “Is this the greatest presidential primary ever?" (James Pindell, host; Phil Vaughn, producer/videographer/editor)NH Outlook is dedicated to statewide coverage of the people, places, politics, communities and culture that make the Granite State unique. NH Outlook, NHPTV’s award-winning public affairs program, is all about New Hampshire.
