Manchester Memorial High School Advances to Round Two of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, January 2, 2009) – Rivals Manchester Memorial High School and Nashua High School North went head-to-head on last night's Granite State Challenge, with the Manchester Memorial Crusaders prevailing over the Nashua North Astros by a score of 315 to 105. Manchester Memorial will next face Hollis-Brookline in round two of Granite State Challenge, which begins next week. The series airs Fridays @ 6 p.m. and again Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television.The triumphant Manchester Memorial Crusaders were comprised of seniors Monica Stewart, Lily Foss, Robbie DesRoche, and John Luzarz and alternate Melanie Laberge. They were coached by Timothy Otis. Their opponents, the Nashua North Astros, included seniors Joshua Enxing, Rachel Davis, and Rebecca Powell, junior Samita Mohanasundaram with alternate Xian Fay.
