Winnacunnet Regional High School Advances to Round Two of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, September 24, 2009) –Winnacunnet Regional High School triumphed in the first match of Granite State Challenge's 27th season, defeating Spaulding High School by a score of 240 to 140. The new season started off strong with a solid match between two tough opponents.The victorious Winnacunnet Regional Warriors included seniors Ben Howard, Chris Cain, and Elizabeth Cushing, junior Calvin Lord, and alternates Sara Moe, Tom Schoenberger, and Patrick Kamieneski. They were coached by Kevin Fleming and Andrew Gushee. Their opponents, the Spaulding Red Raiders, included seniors Ezra Lengkey and Nick Gagnon, sophomores Conner Russell and David Agea and alternates Eric Beaudoin, A.J. Cameron and Breana Goodwin.
