Londonderry High School Defeats Alvirne High School in First Round of NHPTV's Granite State Challeng

(DURHAM, January 7, 2009) – Triumphing in the last game of round one of Granite State Challenge, Londonderry High School defeated Alvirne High School by a score of 245 to 230 in last night's match. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online.The prevailing Londonderry Lancers included seniors Michael Darcy, Mark Cwalinski, Jessica Fang, Stephen Bowen and alternates Wesley Axtell and Stephen Peters. They were coached by James Choquette. Their opponents, the Alvirne Broncos, included seniors Jean-Luc Bouchard, Akshat Goyal and Fionna Howes, sophomore Meghan O'Keefe and alternates Lauren Straight, Shawn Gould and Amber Gamrat. They were coached by Alan Belancik.
