Oyster River High School DefeatsWinnisquam Regional High School in First Round of NHPTV's Granite State Challenge(DURHAM, December 17, 2009) –Oyster River High School triumphed in a tight match on Wednesday's Granite State Challenge, defeating Winnisquam Regional High School by a score of 235 to 200 qualifying the team for Round Two of the competition, which begins next month. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online.The victorious Oyster River Bobcats included seniors Alexe Taylor and Gordon Fenn, juniors Gubby Noronha and Ryan Horton and alternates Chandler Hull and Hannah Nelson. They were coached by John Monahan. Their opponents, the Winnisquam Bears, included juniors Audriana Mekula, Olivia Santosuosso, Victoria Eaton, Julia Kehr and alternates Gunnar Nichols, Gabrielle Cremen and Daley Buckwell.
