NHPBS increasing power at Hanover's W36FE-D Channel Antenna

(Durham, April 15, 2022) – During the week of April 18, 2022, New Hampshire PBS will be increasing the transmitter power at its Hanover, New Hampshire location. This will allow for the NHPBS over-the-air signal to reach more households in the Upper Valley Region.

Starting the week of April 18th, W36FE-D will be off the air during the upgrade, which should take about four days and will be back on the air no later than Friday, April 22, 2022.

Once back on the air, only viewers who receive New Hampshire PBS over-the-air are encouraged to rescan their television sets in order to receive the stronger channel 36 (W36FE-D). They will now be able to receive all five channels (NHPBS, NHPBS Explore, NHPBS World, NHPBS Create and NHPBS Kids).

There may be some areas that still cannot receive NHPBS due to the signal being blocked by hills and mountains.
