New Hampshire Public Television Receives 4 Telly Awards

NHPTV’s “Journey of the Broad-Winged Hawk” Cited for Excellence

(DURHAM, February 25, 2010) — New Hampshire Public Television recently received three silver and one bronze Telly Awards for excellence in non-network television programming. NHPTV received the following awards:• Journey of the Broad-Winged Hawk – Silver Telly (Nature/Wildlife)This program takes viewers along the broad-winged hawk’s migratory route, from the northern forests of New Hampshire to the rainforests of Ecuador.Producer/Editor—Phil Vaughn; Videographer—Steve Giordani; Host—Willem Lange; Executive Producer—Marc Diessner.• Augustus St. Gaudens: Master of American Sculpture – Silver Telly (Documentary)A feature documentary film on the life and work of the great American sculptor (1848-1907).Producer/Director/Editor—Paul Sanderson; NHPTV Production Manager—Marc Diessner.• Planet Granite – Silver Telly (Social Responsibility)A community engagement initiative of New Hampshire Public Television and nine partner organizations.Project Manager—Lynn Zuccarelli-Austin; Producer/Editor—Phil Vaughn; Associate Producer—Lauren Foxall; Videographer—Steve Giordani; Online Producer—Montana West.• MESY – Bronze Telly (Education)Math + Engineering + Science + You! The focus is to engage and excite kids, parents, educators, and community leaders about the STEM subjects - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.Project Manager—Susan Adams; Producer/Editor—Phil Vaughn; Videographer—Steve Giordani.More than 14,000 entries to the Telly Awards were received this year. The highly respected national competition recognizes outstanding non-network TV programming, as well as film and video productions. Entries do not compete against one another, but are judged on their own merit by production professionals.
