Derryfield School Advances to Quarterfinals of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, January 28, 2010) – Derryfield School brought their A-game to Wednesday's Granite State Challenge, narrowly defeating Mascoma Valley High School by a score of 240 to 230. The ten-point defeat secured Derryfield School's place in the quarterfinals. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online.The advancing Derryfield Cougars included seniors Brandon Wilson and Tucker DiNapoli, juniors Kaitlin Fink and Kate Jorgensen and alternate Kim Selwyn. They were coached by Dennis Holland. Their opponents, the Mascoma Valley Panthers, included senior Alexander Morey, juniors Emily Lacroix and Abbi Rienzo, sophomore Marcus Lewis and alternates Nina Caputo and Kellee Kosiorek.
