(DURHAM, June 29, 2006) - Kelly A. Clark, Assistant General Manager and Director of Educational Services for New Hampshire Public Television, was recently named Chief Operating Officer for the station. She will continue serving as NHPTV's Assistant General Manager. Clark will oversee NHPTV's Educational Services and Outreach departments, as well as the Programming, Production, Communications, and Business departments.Clark joined New Hampshire Public Television in 2004 as Director of Educational Services, and in 2005 was named Assistant General Manager. NHPTV's Educational Services Division - the Knowledge Network - is responsible for the station's educational programs and initiatives. The Knowledge Network is committed to providing learners of all ages - from pre-school, K-12, post-secondary, business and industry and lifelong learning constituents throughout New Hampshire - with media-rich, technology-based resources, programs and services to enhance learning. It offers educational program/content development, educational outreach, professional development, distance learning, instructional television and web resources."As Assistant General Manager, Kelly has done an outstanding job in moving a number of key projects forward on multiple fronts," noted Peter A. Frid, General Manager and CEO of New Hampshire Public Television. "Her outstanding skills in planning, implementation and organizational process will be invaluable in her new role as NHPTV's Chief Operating Officer."During her tenure at NHPTV, Clark has written and implemented an educational services strategic plan and led a statewide pilot to assess the use of educational video-on-demand products in New Hampshire classrooms. In addition, she secured funding to upgrade NHPTV's video conferencing and webstreaming capabilities for distributing educational content throughout the state. Clark also serves as chair of the Granite State Distance Learning Network, a private/public partnership of 38 organizations dedicated to providing affordable video conferencing capability statewide.Prior to joining NHPTV, Clark was the executive director of the New Hampshire Forum on Higher Education, a coalition of business, education and public policy leaders working to improve affordability and access to higher education to sustain New Hampshire's economic prosperity. Clark also served as the president of the New Hampshire Workforce Opportunity Council, and as the town manager of Henniker and Gorham (NH).
