Brewster Academy DefeatsKimball Union Academy in First Round of NHPTV's Granite State Challenge(DURHAM, December 10, 2009) – Brewster Academy defeated Kimball Union Academy by a score of 235 to 100, advancing the team to round two of New Hampshire Public Television's Granite State Challenge. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television. The triumphant Brewster Bobcats included senior Sean McCollum, junior Franklin Holcomb, sophomores Daniel Lopez and Zach Baum and alternates Marlowe Appe and Riley Merritt. They were coached by Charlie Hossack and Bret Barnett. Their opponents, the Kimball Union Wildcats, included seniors Jeff Nicholson and Helen Zhang, juniors Felix Ackerman and Isaac Dayno and alternates George Flickinger and Frida Langenius.
